Issue 24/2 published
Dear Colleagues, Authors, and Readers,
We are pleased to announce the publication of the second issue of SComS in 2024, which features a Thematic Section on “What Do We Pay Attention To? Digital Innovations in the Competition for Attention,” with four original contributions. In addition, the Community Section includes Tobias Rohrbach's dissertation summary, Media-Based Mechanisms of Gendered Evaluations of Politicians. Tobias Rohrbach received the SACM Dissertation Prize 2024 for the best PhD thesis in communication and media research completed at a Swiss university in 2023.
This issue also marks an essential change in our licensing. Starting with issue 24/02, we are transitioning from the CC-BY-ND-NC license to the more open CC-BY-SA license to promote greater accessibility and knowledge sharing.

I would like to express my sincere gratitude to my guest co-editors, Richard Moist and Fabio Sandmeier from the Lucerne University of Applied Sciences and Arts, as well as to the authors for their valuable contributions. A heartfelt thank-you also goes to the reviewers for their invaluable feedback. We greatly appreciate the support of our partners: the Open Access team from the University Library Zurich (UB), particularly Margit Dellatorre and Martin Brändle, as well as Christine Hirzel, Katarzyna Czerwiec-Buczek, and Franziska Dörig from Seismo Press. Finally, we are deeply grateful to the Swiss Academy of Humanities and Social Sciences (SAGW) for their continued support.
We hope you enjoy reading this issue.
