New Journal Manager of SComS

Dear Colleagues, Authors and Readers,

The executive board of the Swiss Association of Communication and Media Research (SACM) has appointed Mike Meißner as journal manager of SComS. For several years, Mike Meißner worked at the Department of Communication and Media Research (DCM) at the University of Fribourg and still is enrolled as doctoral student. Since 2017 he is teaching assistant at the FernUni Schweiz within the BA-programme "Historical Sciences" and serves as editor of the "Open Issue" of medien & zeit. His research interests include communication history, journalism and public relations.

Mike Meißner started his position on January 1, and succeeds Silke Fürst who will from now on serve SComS as one of the four co-editors. The editorial board thanks Silke Fürst who served as journal manager in 2020 and did a great job in establishing online first publishing, enhancing the submission process and increasing the visibility of SComS within the scientific community.
